We kicked off our dream getaway in true luxury fashion, flying business class on British Airways all the way to Santorini via London Heathrow. Talk about starting the trip on a high note! With real champagne flowing and the most comfortable seats, it was the perfect way to kick off our birthday extravaganza! The flight to Santorini was a first-class experience in itself, with stunning views of the Aegean Sea and beyond. Talk about flying in style! 🥂✨

As soon as we touched down in Santorini, our private driver whisked us away to our first hotel – the Ambassador Aegean Luxury Hotel & Suites in Akrotiri. Let me tell you, this place was the epitome of luxury! From the panoramic views of the volcano and Aegean Sea to the plush amenities and impeccable service, every moment felt like a dream. Our days were filled with adventure & exploration, from strolling through the charming town of Pyrgos to soaking in the breathtaking views of Oia’s iconic blue domes. • Kallisti Tavern: Nestled in the heart of Pyrgos, Kallisti Tavern welcomed us with warm hospitality and mouthwatering Greek dishes. From traditional moussaka to tender souvlaki, every bite was a taste of Greece’s culinary heritage. • Athenian House: Perched high above the Caldera in Oia, Athenian House offered a fine dining experience with a modern twist on classic Greek cuisine. From innovative appetizers to decadent desserts, each dish was a work of art, perfectly complemented by panoramic views of the island’s breathtaking sunset. It was a dining experience we’ll never forget! 🌅🍴
• Noas: One of the finest dining experiences is taking place in the town of Oia, in a signature mansion villa dating from 1845. At Naos Restaurant, purity of flavours and respect for exceptional local ingredients are at the core of our gastronomic identity. All that topped with a carefully handpicked wine list that accompanies every dish in the most thrilling manner. Relax and enjoy the view, taking in the fresh sea breeze that cools you down and offers a rejuvenating experience. In an inspiring environment where modern meets classic in a marvelous blend, Cabo Rosso Restaurant provides a plethora of sumptuous dishes that will awaken the senses, surprise your taste buds and leave you craving for more. Soft music, laid-back ambience and a talented team of professionals eager to tend to your every request, this is what makes Cabo Rosso a truly magnificent place to relish fine dining in Santorini.
• Kastro Oia Restaurant: Extraordinary Greek Kitchen. Next to the old castle of Oia we have created the namesake restaurant overlooking the Aegean Sea and the beautiful sunset of Oia. Surrender to the miraculous hues of the sunset against the dramatic backdrop of the spell-binding Caldera while enjoying flavors fueled by the aromas of our plates the traditions of a Greek restaurant and the elegance of a Mediterranean cuisine.
• Taverna Aeolos: We created this space with the same care that we put into our own home and nutrition. Our menu was lovingly curated to include genuine greek dishes and international favorites. We only use the freshest produce and highest quality ingredients, just like we do in our own family kitchen. This restaurant is indeed our home; this is where our family sits to break bread and you are part of it.
• Asterias: Located on the water, Asterias offered a delightful seafood-focused menu with fresh catches of the day and traditional Greek specialties. The ambiance was romantic, with candlelit tables overlooking the shimmering sea – the perfect spot for our first dinner in Santorini. 🐟🕯️

Birthday Surprises & Special Moments: 🎉💖

But the best part? The surprises didn’t stop there! Hubby pulled out all the stops with a private yacht day, courtesy of SALT – Santorini Luxury Trips. From swimming in secluded coves to enjoying a sumptuous Greek feast onboard, every moment was pure bliss. Last Minute Detour:

Due to strong winds and ferry conditions, our next stop to Mykonos was cancelled. Although unfortunate, we decided to spend a few more days in Santorini being pampered and unwinding in luxury.
