Welcome aboard another spontaneous journey with this wanderlust pilot’s wife!
With four blissful days off in a row, we embarked on an escapade to the gorgeous and turquoise shores of Cozumel, eager to uncover the hidden treasures of a new found hotel. Our destination? The enchanting Ventanas Al Mar, a newly-discovered boutique hotel nestled along the tranquil east side of the island.
Luckily, I secured an upgrade just days before our departure, ensuring a touch of luxury for the journey. With ample seats available, hubby opted to use a vacation pass both ways, while I cashed in on miles.
Upon our arrival in Cozumel, we were greeted by Armando, our trusty driver, who swiftly whisked us away to our seaside sanctuary. Along the way, we made a brief pit stop to stock up on essentials, ensuring our stay would be filled with refreshment and relaxation.
As we approached Ventanas Al Mar, the lush landscape of the eco reserve unfurled before us, a blissful oasis of tranquility amid the azure waters. Our room was awaiting our arrival. Ventanas Al Mar offers a choice between ocean-side rooms with private walkouts to the sandy shores on the first floor or charming treehouse retreats nestled among the swaying palm trees.
Ascending to our second-floor haven, we were greeted by a spacious balcony adorned with panoramic vistas of the clear blue waters, a sight to behold as the sun dipped below the horizon each evening. While the bathroom boasted snug quarters in need of a touch-up, the room itself exuded comfort and style, with modern amenities and cozy furnishings adding to the allure.
Throughout our stay, the attentive care of Miguel, Omar, and Esteban elevated our experience, ensuring that every need was met with a smile and a gracious gesture. From the most delicious freshly prepared lunches and dinners served on-site to cool cocktails enjoyed poolside or beachside, every moment was a testament to the hotel’s commitment to quality & excellence.
As twilight descended upon the island, we found ourselves lounging on our balcony, gazing up at the twinkling tapestry of stars overhead, a celestial symphony that serenaded our souls each night.
With the bill at checkout reflecting the exceptional value of our stay, we bid farewell to Ventanas Al Mar with hearts full of gratitude and memories to cherish.
