A Long-Overdue Family Night at Amrina

A long-overdue celebratory dinner out with the family at Amrina, and it did not disappoint. It’s been a while since we all sat down together for a proper night out, and this felt like the perfect place to do it.

We officially introduced our soon-to-be son-in-law to Indian food — not cautiously, but properly. Highlights included the paneer korma (rich, balanced, and comforting), a deeply flavorful beef vindaloo with just the right heat, beautifully cooked lamb chops, and tender, spice-forward chicken dishes that showcased how refined and modern this cuisine can be.

The seasonal menu continues to shine, with thoughtful use of spices, herbs, and textures that feel elevated without being pretentious. Every dish felt intentional.

Amrina’s location in The Woodlands makes it feel like a destination rather than just another restaurant — elegant, warm, and ideal for a true dining experience rather than a rushed meal. It’s part of a broader vision by the team behind Amrina The Woodlands, who continue to push modern Indian cuisine forward through multiple ventures and concepts that blend tradition with contemporary technique.

The buzz around the kitchen is real. Chef Jassi Bindra is heading back to national competition television, bringing more well-deserved attention to what they’re doing here — and it shows in the confidence of the food.

Great company, outstanding service, and food that sparks conversation at the table. One of those nights that reminds you why sitting down together matters.
