So, when my pilot hubby found himself with five consecutive days off, we knew it was time to seize the moment. And where better to embrace adventure and fun than the romantic city of Paris?

Our journey began with a touch of luxury. We splurged on Premium Plus seats on United Airlines for our round-trip flight, and it was a decision we’d come to appreciate. Each day in Paris was a whirlwind of exploration. We set out on foot, taking in the grandeur of the Eiffel Tower, the magnificence of the Arc De Triomphe, and the artistic wonders of the Louvre Museum. Yes, we stood before the enigmatic Mona Lisa, a moment that left us in awe. The Notre Dame Cathedral, with its intricate architecture, also captured our hearts.

Culinary Adventures: A Taste of Paris

Our culinary adventures were equally enchanting. We savored unforgettable meals at George V Cafe, Sacre Frenchy, and César, where we discovered that arriving early and being genuinely friendly can sometimes work wonders even without a reservation. Each restaurant had its own unique charm and a menu filled with delectable delights that celebrated the essence of French cuisine.

The Enigmatic Red Door

Our exploration of Paris also led us to a hidden gem: The Little Red Door. This mysterious speakeasy offered an intimate and secretive ambiance, making it the perfect place to unwind with a carefully crafted cocktail.

Champagne Dreams at Nicolas Feuillatte

A trip to France wouldn’t be complete without indulging in Champagne, and we did just that at Nicolas Feuillatte. The champagne tasting experience was nothing short of divine, a toast to the art of French winemaking.

We saw all the iconic sights, even riding the merry-go-round at the Eiffel Tower like carefree children. We savored fresh macarons, sipped French wines & espressos that danced on our palates. It was a week of pure joy and adventure, a dream realized in the city of love.

As we boarded our return flight, jet-lagged but satisfied, we knew that our spontaneous escape to Paris had left an indelible mark on our hearts.
