Costa Rican Bliss: An Epic Tropical Getaway 🌴

You know us, always chasing adventures. While this was over a year ago, it’s still completely fresh in our minds. Traveling outside of our usuals, we ventured out to Costa Rica, a country of lush jungles, pristine beaches, and pura vida vibes! 🇨🇷

Our Journey to Paradise: ✈️🏝️

First things first, let’s talk about the journey. We’re not rookies when it comes to travel, but there’s always something special about taking a flight to a new destination. We decided to splurge and flew first-class with United from Houston to Liberia, Costa Rica. A quick 3.5-hour flight, and we were there! ✈️

The Guanacaste region awaited us, and we had some epic plans thanks to Conchal Fun (you can find them on TripAdvisor with fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews). With a few exchanges via WhatsApp, our private airport transfer and excursions were all set. As we exited the airport, we hopped into a SUV and cruised through a 1.5-hour scenic & mountainous winding ride. Breathtaking, to say the least! 🚗🌄

W Costa Rica – Where Luxury Meets Nature 🏝️

Now, let me spill the beans on the cherry on top of this trip – our stay at the exquisite W Costa Rica. We were seriously living our best lives, and here’s why:

Rooms & Layout:

We were gratefully upgraded to a Spectacular Ocean Escape Room, thanks to hubby’s Bonvoy status. What a treat for 8 nights! Comfy soft beds, a well-stocked minibar, pillow menu, and a bathroom that connects you to nature through an open shower. The wall of windows opens up completely, giving you an immersive experience with the local wildlife. 🦋

Amenities: Besides the cozy rooms, the W Costa Rica boasts incredible amenities. There’s a private beach, a beautiful pool area with plenty of seating (perfect for soaking in the sun), and cabanas on the beach.

Dining Delights 🍴🥂

Now, let’s talk money, honey. The food and drinks at W Costa Rica were a tad spendy. Well, a lot spendy. But…we said, “why not?” and went all-in with their “add on” all-inclusive package. Definitely worth the splurge, given our room was paid for by points & free nights. 💸🥂

The resort’s restaurants were culinary havens. Our taste buds did a happy dance at the vibrant mix of flavors and dishes. The Cocina De Mercado was the perfect place to grab a breakfast, light or hearty! We had dinner here a few times on the patio as well. Latitud 10° Norte was our absolute favorite with changing tasting menus. We had several amazing dinners here! What a culinary adventure each time! The Zona Azul beach club a quick walk down to the beach from the main building was a great place for light bites and drinks. They also had themed dinner nights with live music. Last but not least, the Living Room was an indoor/outdoor vibe with an always crowded bar serving the most fun and fresh drinks and elevated bar food.

Activities & Vibes 🏊🎶

The W Costa Rica isn’t just about relaxation – it’s about exhilaration too. With music playing poolside or a live DJ spinning awesome house tunes, you’re in for a vibe that’s pure relaxation with a dash of party. 🎶💃 The resort’s family-friendly, but mostly it’s all about couples seeking a high-end, lovey-dovey experience. ❤️

Our days were jam-packed, thanks to Conchal Fun’s epic excursions. We braved thrilling zip-lining adventures in the jungle, revved it up with ATV escapades through charming beach towns, rode horses along pristine beaches, and sailed along the dreamy coastline. Conchal Fun lived up to its hype, leaving us with memories for a lifetime! 🌄🏍️🏇⛵

Service Extraordinaire 🌟

Oh, did I mention the service? It was next-level. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Whether it was through chat via the app, a phone call or a visit to the front desk…every single request was met with a positive attitude and their “Whatever, Whenever” service philosophy. 🙌🏽🫶🏽🙌🏽
